I was looking for a lather bowl that was not excessively deep and stumbled upon Michal Yoresh pottery on etsy. This bowl was very reasonably priced and shipping was surprisingly fast, considering it comes from Israel. As you can see from the pictures it's not a large bowl, but the handle is just large enough to slip my thumb through for a nice palm hold. It helps lather beautifully and interestingly seems to push the lather into the brush, rather than just build in the bowl like my other bowls. That's literally 4 seconds of loading TOBS and about 15 seconds of lathering. Needless to say I'm very happy with this product, and come winter may be ordering the matching scuttle.[Image: ba2uruha.jpg][Image: ene2yja9.jpg][Image: yzapa6us.jpg]

Looks good. I prefer shallower and wider bowls (like yours) as opposed to deep and narrow ones.

Thank you - I was actually eye-balling their bowls and scuttles a little while back Smile

Since you're satisfied, I may go ahead and order one as a birthday present to myself Wink

This lady does seriously nice work. I had a scuttle from her but foolishly sold it. I still have a beautiful coffee mug which I use almost every day.

That's good to hear! Does it happen to have a handle, and if not do you find that difficult to work around?

I have the same lather bowl in a different color and enjoy it immensely. It's on the small side for my larger brushes like my Chubby 2 but it's just right for the rest of my brushes.

Here is a couple of pictures of the scuttle version. It is pretty much the shave bowl with an attached water reservoir. One of the items I like is that she made the lather ridges very sharp and distinct - easy to lather. I have a dozen or so scuttles and this is one of my favorites. Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

Thanks, it looks exactly like the lather bowl. I really like it and definitely will be ordering the scuttle! You're right about the ridges, they seem to hold a little extra water after you dump it out and they help build the lather incredibly well. Thanks for the pics.

Oh, Michal Yoresh is first class. I have a double walled scuttle from her and it is such a fine piece of pottery. Very well made and I like the earthy colours

Good to hear about the orders, I'm still loving my bowl. Check out WegianWarrior's post about his scuttle he got from Yoresh, it looks awesome.
