Is there any badger knot seller that sells knots that are not stritchy or scrubby at all? I'm thinking Kent or shavemac silvertip softness.

I've tried the silvertip grade a and the finest from tgn, the silvertip from whipped dog and they all are (to my taste) stritchy like hell.

If you like Shavemac silvertip, Bernd will sell you just a knot. The prices for the knots are on the website.

Shavemac Silvertip but not D01. Similarly Saville Row.

Tgn hmw is very soft. It could be.

Did you try a finest fan knot in specific?

I've consistently seen in my experience that the TGN finest fans have the gel like tips while the bulb shape finest knots are simply "soft."

I recently got a finest F2 and can not use that thing much, very scritchy. I wonder if it was mis marked.

Silver tip grade A isn't bad. I haven't tried the premium ST yet, but love the HMW.

TGN 2-band Super Finest has very soft tips, medium backbone and density. What scrub there is, is mild. A very nice knot.

I have a 26mm TGN finest fan and it's one of the softest brushes I own.

Tgn bought different badger supplier. The same quality has not been guaranteed. Some of two band has gel like tips but some of them has not. Tgn super finest was exceptionally great but recent batch looks different. I don't know. If you like gambling you can try.

Thanks for the replies! I guess buying the knot from Shavemac is the only way to get the softness I want.

Same, I've now got two TGN finest knots, they're super affordable and I find them quite soft.
