While I was traveling for work last week, I picked up a bottle of Clubman at a grocery store. I used it a couple of times while up there. While I really don't care for the scent when wet, I really like the scent after a few minutes when it dries though. Unfortunately, it didn't hold a candle to my regular Aqua Velva as far as moisturizing.

When I got home, I started playing with adding glycerine to it. At 13 drops to the slightly used 7 oz bottle, it now feels wonderful to me. It now has a place in my rotation.

I'm really starting to dig these old school, drug store aftershaves! My wife even said the Clubman was "OK". She didn't cringe, so it will grow on her! Biggrin

I love the stuff, so much so when I wash my face prior to bedtime, a splash a bit on... love the smell. It's another part of the equation that makes me "look forward" to shaving.

Love me Clubman and Pinaud. Ed Pinaud was quite the "nose" back in the day. The scents do settle down when dry some more than others. I'm a Lilac Vegetal user in addition to most of the other Clubman AS. They are certainly inexpensive and don't break the bank if one is not to your liking.

Too cloying for me. I loved it at first as it brought back all the early barbershop memories, but after a few uses I couldn't get it out of the den fast enough.

Can't stand the aftershave smell. Oddly enough I like the talc.

I love Pinaud Vanilla. It's my Friday A/S. Like Doug, I love the talc as well. Use it everyday to keep what makes me male "fresh!"

Too much for me. The talc smells the same, but I don't mind it too much in that form. I suppose it's not living directly around my nose all morning, with the talc.

I got dragged into Sally Beauty Supply this past weekend and almost sprung for the $8 industrial-sized bottle. I may have to go back for the talc... I'm sure the smell will make me flash back to my childhood, spending a Saturday morning with my dad at the barber shop.

Boy is the selection of shaving products terrible at Sally. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but for some reason it's upsetting... Like you should be able to get some professional-grade stuff there but you can't.

I like it as it feels good on my face. It also smells like an aftershave rather than cologne or perfume. It reminds me of when function was more important than smell.

I like it and the talc. I gave it to dad for a gift and he got all choked up. I guess it transported him to some earlier day.
