Good Day, this is the first razor that I ever owned and the one I learned to shave with, or at least with a DE razor. This razor was my fathers, it was issued to him back in the 1950's when he joined the Royal Canadian Navy. I tried to use it many times over the years but I was terrible at it, bad shaves and cuts all over. Through learning on the internet I developed a proper technique and the use of better blades have now made shaving with this razor a real pleasure. Mike

Excellent. I think it's great that folks have very usable keepsakes like that razor.

That's a great heirloom, Mike!

I used a US-made Tech for over three years, almost exclusively. I prefer something a little closer-shaving, but still mild, so I have moved on to other razors. I'm of the understanding that the English- and Canadian-made Techs were closer shaving than the US version, so I would love to try one of those some day.

Mike, that's great that you have and get to use your Dad's razor. I have several Schick Injectors that were my Dad's and I still use them. I have one of his injectors that was issued to him during WWII that he never used and it is still in the box locked up in my safe deposit box.

Great razor Mike and even more special given it's history.
