Another case where YMMV, but my best performing blade is the Super Iridum.

I tried more than a few different blades and I've found the Super Iridium provided the closest and most comfortable shave for me. Another bonus is I can get multiple good shaves from the Super Iridium, whereas many other blades see me discarding them only after a couple of uses.

What's your best DE blade?

I only use one razor so I only needed one blade, my search stopped at Feathers; which was nearly the last blade I tried. If I try a new razor; which is rare, I'll use a different blade. Feathers don't work in every razor, but they work great in a slant.

Putting a Feather in a aggressive razor rarely works for me, so I have a decent selection of blades to use in replace of. Feathers will dull pretty fast in an aggressive razor, at least in my experience. Crystal, Personna, Gillette Bleue, Gillette Silver Blue, Voskhod and Rapira are good blades in just about any razor. Personnas are my back up if I run out of Feathers.

Seems a lot of shavers rate their Feathers, I for one have never had much success with them....

Never jumped on the Feather bandwagon, especially considering all the lower cost, and still premium alternatives.

I've been using Schick injector blades for quite a while, but the best DE blades in my experience were the Personna Med Prep blades.

In no particular order:

Super Iridiums
Polsilver
Gillette 7:00 Yellow or any russian made 7:00 blade
Bluebird
Med preps
Feathers (2 shaves only)

Those are my sharpest of the sharp and (mostly) the smooothest of the smooth, and except where noted, will last for 7 shaves.

There are a few vintage blades that would also make the list. If anyone is interested I can find out which they are.

Noticed a few votes for Polsilvers, another favourite of mine.

Can you still source these?

The gentleman supplying me with my Super Iridiums states he can't get any more Polsivers.

I gradually have grown accustomed to just two blades.

Bolzano and Super Iridiums

Bolzano if I want a very sharp blade. These have replaced the Fearthers as I feel them to be almost as sharp and smoother, and are cheap in my neck of the woods ( $ 0.09 per blade)

Super Iridium if looking for a not so sharp and still smooth blade.

I switch between the two depending on the razor used.
