I just pulled the trigger on my first New Forest brush. I purchased the 2401 Briar, which is High Mountain two-band, 24mm knot, 52mm loft. Now, I haven't heard a whole lot about this brand, but judging by the little bit that I have heard, and what I can see, these look to be a fantastic value for a great brush. Does anyone have experience with New Forest brushes, in particular the High Mountain two-band hair? I'd love to hear any opinions. I'm pretty excited to receive this brush.

I had the same but in the Marble. For the money they are excellent value. Only reason I sold mine was because I didn't get on with the handle length. Great brushes.

My tubby 1 in two band is my favourite brush. It's a fantastic all round performer, excellent value and Peter is excellent to deal with!

I bought Fido's first two releases.
And then the Manchurian, but I gave that one away as a gift to a friend.

Great brushes at a fair price indeed.

I do not remember what I paid exactly, but probably 35 GBP?
That is a steal for one's first entry into the better badger territory.

They sadly see little use today as I prefer larger brushes now.
But I would not consider selling them, as they have a special place in the den.

I will look forward to you impressions of this brush in terms of handle, knot quality and loft indeed!

I've owned a couple of NF brushes. Peter (aka Fido) produces a good brush at a very reasonable price, enjoy!

I've a Tubby 2, 2-band and a finest Silvertip. Both are excellent performers and great value; in fact, in terms of price, quality and performance NF brushes can't be beat. I'm seriously considering purchasing one of Fido's high mountain whites.
