One of the best! Not my favourite but I can see why everyone rave about Rosa Bourbon! I still much love the Fougere.

So I got my Eufros/ Jabonman soaps today. For now, I can only comment on the scents as I smelled them out of the tub.

Rosa Bourbon - Frankly this was a big disappointment to me. Smells like Talcum powder - is something wrong?

Fougere - Way different scent than anything else I have right now. Strong. And nice. Will have to shave with it and see.

Some samples were also sent by Manuel:
Yang Yang
Eastern Breeze

Couldn't really decipher these scents.

My preference is really for (IMO) fresher scents like Maggard's Barbershop and Stirling's Sharp Dressed Man. Anything similar available from Manuel?

Sniffing them out of the bowl might not be the right way to judge a soap. Contact with water unfolds the real performance, feel etc.

I am a big fan of his Ylang Ylang. Other popular scents from his creation are Fougere and Dama de Noche. I am yet to try any of these two myself but have heard good things about them.

Not sure on the barbershop type from him.

Will revisit the scents when I lather them..thanks for the advice.

I have seen the opposite happen with other soaps (like TFS Stupefecante) - they smell good in the tub but the scent seemingly disappears once lathered.

Stirling's SDM on the other hand - consistent, great (IMO) scent throughout.

Will post again after a shave...what is the best way to lather these soaps btw?

Again the choice here is personal. I face lather all my soaps. That way I can enjoy the scent while I am lathering and it gives me a more realistic feedback on whether to add more water or more soap.

Face lathered Rosa Bourbon. Still not liking the scent. Talcum powder only to my nose.

Oops! The second best alternate is to PIF it to someone who may like it more than you. I could be a contender...

This particular soap costs quite a bit. If it was in the 10 USD range a PIF would've been forthcoming ..Smile

Please don't take me seriously on PIF. I know for sure that this is Manuel's most expensive soap. You will find many takers in here. Good luck.
