I know this thread is about the soaps but how would you guys rate Manuel's AS Balms? I was thinking of ordering the Fougere and Sandalwood balms.

I have the Rosa aftershave balm and it's very good. Just that similar quality I can get cheaper too hence I no longer order from Manuel

Preliminary thoughts..

It's a very earthy and raw scent; distinctive.
I would say organic in a sense.
Scent blossomed with lathering; lovely.
I applaud this offering; definitely distinctive from derivative scents that many others sell.

Soap performance superb, as always.

Kudos to Manuel.

I tried my sample of Agarwood yesterday and found it mild, earthy and with a clear resinous note. Thankfully it was nowhere near as skanky as Indian Oud Wink

Some of the best around. Very thin consistency, quick absorbing providing great skin feel afterwards. The last ages as they are so thin and able to be spread. For me, one balm = 2 soap tubs in terms of use (one go through one balm for every 2 tubs).

Sandalo has jumped into a tie with CRSW for the best Sandalwood scent, in a soap or cream.

Another order order of Sandalo and Agarwood has just arrived.

The Sandalo has pretty much become my daily soap, these days, with Agarwood slotting in every now and again. And, it's a scent that is easily used all year round, IMO. We've just had our hottest day of the year, so far, and the sandalwood scent did not feel out of place, at all. Wonderful stuff. Smile

I started a new tub of Eufros Fougere soap on May 21. I was careful to load the brush a maximum of 15 seconds before face lathering it. Today, after only 22 shaves it is now completely used up. Good soap, good performance. I suppose none of us who buy soaps is saying to ourselves "I hope this new soap lasts 3 weeks before it runs out." Am I right?
Here are before and after photos.

Gary, I used a tin of Sándalo to the end, recently, 5 days per week over 5 weeks. I do overload my brushes. I reckon I could have got another 10 or so shaves with more economical loading.

Where are you guys buying this? I looked for a bit and couldn't find a store outlet for his soaps.

You have to contact the maker, Manuel, on his email, which I can't remember now. Someone will pm it to you.

I have it here. Will PM you now.

He has Lime and Spices which is heavily mentholated.

Someone from the East coat give me an idea of tub cost and shipping costs. Also if you have prices for 2 and 3 tubs that would be great.

Lime and Spices was very refreshing and resembles some camphor notes. I liked it a lot quite a bit in terms of a spiced citrus scent.
