I just obtained this razor from a California Company that introduced it late last year and geared towards (there advertisements) men of color. I realize some guys have a problem with ingrown hair and bumps but anybody can use this razor. Its a traditional 3 piece razor that is incredibly made to a very high standard. The finish is flawless consisting of brass with a two tone overlay of what appears to be chrome. The razor is nicely balanced and weighs 88 grams and is 4" long. The end caps cover the blade which is a very nice feature. Since the handle is thin and smooth care must be taken while shaving. The good news is other handles fit the head perfectly. I did two very smooth and comfortable shaves so far each using the two pass method. I really like this razor and consider it a keeper. The price with shipping is slightly over $60 and I consider that fair.

Someone was asking the other day about a Spanish made razor. I'm pretty sure the name was "Bevel". But I had never heard of it. Oh well, sounds like a nice razor !

Did you have to purchase the package deal or are they now selling the razor seperately?

No, I was able to go onto another link and pay just for the razor & blades. It just happens they forgot to send me the blades so they are issuing me a credit. The price for the razor and blades is the same as if you are buying the whole kit however, you are not obligated to pay reoccurring quarterly payments for something you might not want.

Not aggressive but gets the job done in a big way IMHO. This razor has a very high build quality which really impresses me.

Jerry,

Any chance of photographs exhibiting the razor's various pieces and blade loaded (e.g. exposure)? Does this razor compare closely to any others you've used? Thanks.

I've read up on this razor and its premise is an excellent one. The founder is no slouch either: Tristan Walker

My camera doesn't take close ups that good and at the moment my razor is loaded with a blade. The build quality of this razor is second to none.

Sounds way more efficient than the Bump Fighter razor. I was considering a Shavecraft 101 but will wait to hear more about this one.

Who here will be first with the Bevel head on UFO handle? Smile

How would you "compare" or "rate' this razor against the "STANDARD" razor which I believe you also have.

Much better in fit and finish and shaves extremely nice. The great advantage is the Bevel will accept other handles if you choose to go that route but I like the handle it came with.

I contacted the vendor regarding purchasing the razor as a separate item (no blades and no products). They hope to have this option available in the future, but for now, it's a kit or nothing.

They told me the same thing.

From a sales stand point, (if I was their marketing man), I'd sell only in the kit form because... "We're selling you a "complete" solution for razor bumps. It's not just the razor alone, but the grooming products that accompany the razor and a regimen we suggest you follow, that provide a solution to your problem."

If I sell you just the razor, and you later make claims that you still have the skin issues it touts as helping alleviate... then you're misrepresenting my total solution package.

So from that standpoint, I can understand and appreciate them only wanting to sell the "solution package" (my terminology, not GetBevel.com's)
