Nice pictorial.
I just mark one side of the blade with a sharpie pen.
When cleaning, shake the open razor to dump the blade onto a piece of tissue paper.
To reload after cleaning, put the blade back in the original orientation (ink dot up/down).

Excuse my ignorance, but are they not reversible?

* The blades are single edge and you can only use one side/length of them, but either up or down when placed in the Cobra will work. No need to vary the placement of the blade unless you so desire to. I hope that helps. Smile

Yes, of course they are. But the pictorial implies taking the blade off and installing it in exactly the same position.
Not everyone believes in "flipping the blade".

Hmmmm - I wonder what would happen if I tried this with my 4 year-old Cobra Classic. Perhaps I'd get more than the 15 - 20 BBS/DFS shaves I currently get from each blade?

* Wow! That is a great number of shaves with one blade! I could only get 7-9 with them when I had the Cobra. Biggrin

What blade are you using Ken? I get usually get 20+ shaves using Kai Milds.

I got 4 shaves out of my Feather Pro's & ProGuards. I can't remember how many I get from the Kai mild.

I use good ole Feather Pros. My only blade saving technique is that I insert the blade and forget about it for 2 or 3 weeks until I feel some drag when I'm shaving.

Wow! 4 shaves and the Kai Mild is done for me.

I always remove the blade between shaves.

Entasis, did you use any particular software to create your comic strip style presentation?

I admit that I don't have a super heavy coarse steel wool like beard. My beard is just average and that contributes greatly to blade life.

What would you usually get out of a sharp DE blade?

As for DE blades, my preference is Super Iridium and I usually get 5 shaves. The drop off or deterioration for me is more dramatic with the SE blade as opposed to the DE.
