Does anyone have any experience with Czech & Speake aftershave?

I'm particularly interested in the No. 88 and the Oxford & Cambridge.
I own both in the shaving soap and intend to acquire the Cologne of each.
I understand as aftershaves go, these are extravagantly priced, but the scents are very much to my liking.
I am concerned more about performance and would appreciate any comments on the subject.

I have both the EdT and aftershaves. Scents are great, especially #88, but the aftershave falls short of my expectations. It's good, but certainly not worth anyway near the money. I prefer to use witch hazel and the EdT.

Doug, in terms of performance is there an aftershave that you can liken it to?

Forget about price and scent. The way it smells IMO is the motivation to invest, but I just would like to know if it's something I'll enjoy using in terms of it's ability as an aftershave. If it simply smells great and doesn't perform, I'm better off just buying the EdT.

Really cannot easily compare it to others. Perhaps Musgo Real.
If the scent is all you care about, they are awesome. It's a lot if money for a small amount of product IMO.

I would get a sampler from Phil...it is only $8.00 and you can test at least 4 of them...the aftershave I only use after or on top of a balm...(Castle Forbes Lavender)and the scent of the C@S is similiar (Oxford@ Cambridge)...my favorite scent.

I had no idea there was an O&C AS. I'm in trouble.

If you love the C&S scents, you're better off with the cologne; it will last longer and most of the times, I find that they will last the entire day.

I was interested in the aftershaves, too, but they are little too expensive for me. Unfortunately, I can't wear colognes because they cause me rashes.

I don't wear colognes for the same reason John does but I do enjoy the Oxford and Cambridge after shave. I do prefer it over the No. 88. As for as how long it last, about 4 hours. But I can still detect a faint scent of it later on in the day.

I use it as well usually over a light application of Weleda which has a similar scent....and is much less expensive.
