Ben,once again BRILLIANT pics,my friend.
But my question is,why? Why to come out with basically identical handles than Simpson, when M&F could offer classic handle designs and not copy from anybody.
I know that some handle shapes are basically "universal" but some of these M&F brushes seems copies of the Simpsons ones.
Lee seems to be a Simpson lover to me!Biggrin

I guess you don't change a winning formula?

Of course, you could deem it as a lack of imagination?

Imitation & flattery. There's a saying in there somewhere Tongue

Yep at the top of this thread:

"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." Charles Caleb Colton

I thought I was being subtly obvious.

Thats a question for Lee.

The allure for me was the range of handle materials.

Why not just get the real thing? A nice limited edition with manchurian badger.

Well, I guess since the human hand remains unchanged, most brush handles will be similar because what works has been figured out, except for the novelty handles which crop up from time to time.

The classics remain the classics.

Ben, great set of brushes. Thanks for displaying them.

i wish i could afford manchurian. I have a Tulip 4 in super. I think this is some of the newer stuff simpson is putting out and it is a pretty fantastic brush. First simpsons brush in super that I really liked.

I don't think anyone can make a better tulip handle than simpson, just curious to see if lee's actually tried to do it.

some of us can afford a $150 brush, but not $250+ one. Dodgy

it's the only thing stopping me from adding a couple of the Manchurian and LE simpsons. i'm not saying they have to lower their prices, they can set them at whatever they deem appropriate.

i guess with me, the M&F offers a bit of customization as far as handle material and still puts them in my price range.

That is why I am starting my collection of Semogue boar. It's about the only thing in my price range.

i've seen a few M&F boars Biggrin not sure how the knots compare to Semogue and/or Omega, but it might be worth looking into.

after my current M&F arrives, i'll ask Lee about the Boars.
