Pen-folk, do you use a fountain everyday? For writing at work, grocery lists, and the like?

I had a Biology teacher who wrote with hers everyday, handouts, and tests included. Just wondering what the habits of pen users are.....thanks for your input, Kristin

A Kaweco Sport is my every day carry pen. So I'd have to say yes. With the American Eel ink that Freddy gave me I have really enjoyed using it everyday, now that the ink dries really fast and is waterproof.

That's me, as well, but unlike Clinton, I enjoy changing ink colors. I tend to use my Noodler's Black American Eel when writing a check or an envelope that might be exposed to the elements.

At home, I always have at least four pens inked up so I'd say about the only time I don't use a fountain pen is when I fly due to air pressure concerns.

A long time ago, I used to write with a Mont Blanc fountain pen on a regular basis. One day I signed a credit card slip with a cartridge pen the owner of the store handed to me which was a Tombow (Japan). Searched out a local brick-and-mortar store that sold them and have ever since been scribing away with them. The black quality and smoothness is unbeatable, in my humble opinion.

I use them at work every day. At home, pens tend to disappear, and I'm not taking any chances.

I have an EDC pen (or 3) and always have several pens inked for home use. I use pencils now and then, but rarely use a regular ballpoint anymore. Since discovering fountain pens, everything else just seems boring if not substandard. I've always been fussy about my pens, now it's even worse! LOL

TWSBI 580 + Fine nib is my daily pen for work. I feel that I'm lucky to have a job in which I can jot down notes, sketch out diagrams etc, basically any excuse to use my FP!

I have incorporated my fountain pens into my daily writing habits. As a chiropractor I now use them on all of my intake and consultation notes and all other in-office paperwork. It's amazing how much faster I can take my notes now while they remain even more legible than they ever were in the past.

I try to use them, but since I don't always write things down on paper, my two tend to dry up and I just use them as dip pens. Therefore, if I have to jot something down quickly, it's usually a ballpoint. Sad

I use a fountain pen every day, but with 105 vintage and modern pens it can be difficult deciding which ones to ink. At the moment I have a Bexley Gold Line and a vintage Conway Stewart 58 inked.

Writing is a big part of my job so I always have 2 or 3 pens with me. This week, a pair of Omas pens (Arte Italiana Noir with a factory Stub, Saft Green Ogiva with an extra flessibile EF) and a Nakaya Long Piccolo BB were on deck.

I keep 8 pens inked and try to use them every day. When I was working I carried a fountain pen in my breast pocket.

Now I mostly write correspondence with my pens about four days a week. Also I use a fountain pen for my grocery list and notes by the phone.

My wife is a school teacher and uses a fountain pen every day of the school year. In the summer she too uses hers for correspondence.

Phil

No I didn't. I know for a fact I packed them in a "safe" spot. (probably one of the 2 boxes by my bed). I have found my stash of ink samples though! Wink I just can't wait to find them...I think I know what I'm doing tonight!

Edit: FOUND THEM! Biggrin
