I thought this might be of interest. While many of us already know the answer, the question about flying with razors/blades does come up from time to time.

This should be a sticky so we don't have to keep posting the link when it does come up...

I usually toss my blades in my wife's check-on, and carry my DE, but I worry about TSA agents getting over zealous, or losing one of my precious DE's so I've been looking at alternatives lately.

10 to 1 odds if I had started this thread it would have been labeled political and closed. Why would you carry your razor on a flight anyway. TSA,,... Angry

I work at an airport.

I should ask the TSA if they'll give me all of the shaving items they collect.

Just flew yesterday. Shaving kit with my Feather Blade in the side pocket. My AS-D2 made it home safely. Clap

Primo, was your blade and razor in a carry-on or was it in checked luggage?

It has been my experience that the TSA folks tend to interpret the rules on the fly. I check everything.

In case you ever think to yourself "Of course you can't take razor blades on a plane!"

The TSA Instagram feed includes a lot of pics of confiscated items. There are some doozies!

All the loaded firearms in carry on bags? Flying with a firearm is not difficult to do people. Seriously. Not to mention the IED Training Vest, inert and LIVE grenades, concealed knives, spearguns and swords....

Gives me a new respect for the TSA...
