Found this beauty in an antique store. It was not overly expensive and my wonderful wife looked the colour

Very nice. Any marking on the bottom that gives info of origin/date/etc? Enjoy!!

Good eye, There were a lot of "repops" imported during the 70's till now. That does not make the items bad as shaving tools.
I found that it works well to use a slightly soft soap and actually stick a thumbnail size bit onto the lower side of the top well. then the excess water from the brush can drain and the lather will build quickly. Creams work well also. The well is usually a bit to shallow to take a full size puck but a slice off the harder soaps (pre-softened by leaving on a pad of wet paper) again stuck to the lower side of the well works well.
