Without much fuzz Wiborg last week launched a couple of high mountain two band badger brushes.
These are no small affair at 29*54 mm!

Let's have a look at the Elfenbein, or faux ivory:

Wiborg have come up with well designed brush, in a beautiful material.
Pics probably do not do it justice, but the faux ivory has really nice faint grains to it.
Nice color also.

Wiborg seems to come up with a new logo every series of brushes, and not all of those are to my liking.
This logo I do like (but to be honest, I liked the previous edition even better).

The knot is not for the faint of heart at a massive 29 x 54 mm.
It is a two bander in a high mountain quality.

The hybrid fan shape makes it look and feel bigger than their earlier offerings.
It also has short white tips that are considerably softer than last year's two band.

To put these new Wiborgs in perspective, a line up with some other large brushes in my den:

This definitely is a big brush!
I have no CH3, but I imagine it to be in that category.

In use, it is as comfortable and luxurious as one would expect.
I dipped it in TOBS avocado for its maiden voyage and it performed excellent.
Flowthrough is great, flex and backbone are good and it did not hog lather at all.

In my opinion, Wiborg has done well with offering this 'Hochgebirgs' badger at this pricepoint.
Let's hope we see more bulb shapes and sizes in the future.

Hair quality is very good.
After a year rotating usage, it's shedding crazy. By bye wiborg

Beautiful. How does the price compare with a similar CH3? If you don't mind me asking.

A comparable Simpson would be north of $400.

Here's a pic - which logo do you prefer?

I love that they are etched. Ill have 2 cursive and the next 2 are the straight font. I like both fonts, but the cursive is just special.

Not at all!

This one is 159 euros.
Not cheap, but not even close to the CH3 in two band league.
A CH3 in super is 225 GBP, in Manchurian 270 GBP.

I don't really mean to call you out on this, onur98, but I had a problem with my first Wiborg and Florian did absolutely everything to make it right. He was extremely generous in finding a solution that I was happy with. Have you tried to follow up on the shedding with him?

Wim, the Wiborgs look great, but seeing your Muhle Retro in the last pic, makes me pine for the one I sold...
