OK, in another thread someone talked about "packaging" of products (in fact it was about brushes). Someone replied to the thread stating that to them, packaging was not as important as the actual item.

Well I appreciated really beautiful, artful, thoughtful, clever, well designed, and well engineered packaging quite a bit.

But I went on line to get ready to order some more Clubman and saw what is evidently new packaging/labeling. Inline are two examples... my lord they make the stuff look exactly like a Wesson Vegetable Oil bottle! REALLY?

I'm all about the product, but damn that's a butt ugly product! Fire the clown who came up with this packaging.

Yea, I tend to agree with you. Here are some early glass bottle versions:

Clubman has had both of those bottles around for a while. The first one is the 12.5 oz size and the second is the 16 oz 'country club' size. The 12.5 size and packaging should still be available and look the same.

I wish I had these. These pictures I pulled off the internet. I want them.

Maybe there are some bottles like these in our/your local antique store. Remove the labels and stick them on your choice of bottle.

The old bottles are neat.

The Pinaud Clubman is the first AS I purchased after returning to shaving with a DE/brush/soap and continues to be my number one favorite AS. I also have Musk, Vanilla, and Special Reserve. Good products at reasonable prices.

Wow! you are right! it looks exactly like vegetable oil! At first I just thought it was a photoshoped Pinaud label on a vegetable oil bottle!

As "Vuk" brought to my attention, this bottle is not new, just a larger size I had not seen before on Amazon.

There is also a smaller (6 or 8 OZ) bottle that might be more to your liking. Personally I don't mind but I would buy it by the 50 gallon barrel if I could. Then just soak in it after shower and shave.Biggrin

I got tired of the stock plastic bottle, so I transferred my Clubman to these old glass containers.

I would pay extra to have the Clubman AS in a bottle. It just seems more classy or something.

I will never buy this as becayse of how cheap and utterly ridiculously ugly the bottle looks. I own the green Proraso 400 ml splash glass bottle and the 2 400 ml Floid bottles, Amber and Blue. They look classy and solid. Also own both Speicks Splash and dr Harris Pink water. All quality bottles and quality products.

They at Pinaud need to redo this fugly bottle design !
