I am proud to announce my newest shaving soap line named "Select". This new line is a culmination of everything I have learned about producing a shave soap. This is evidenced by the sheer number of ingredients in the formulation. But this isn't just about "numbers" for the sake of numbers. Each ingredient has been thoughtfully and purposefully put to use with an eye toward performance or conditioning and in some cases both.

The first thing you will notice is the size. The Select shaving soaps weigh 6.5 ounces and are 4 inches in diameter. I have packaged these soaps in a high quality rust proof tin with a screw top lid. Each and every soap is hand stamped with the Select logo. The identification of the soap is done by including a linen paper imprinted with soaps scent atop a protective wax paper disc.

This is a tallow based soap and as with all of our soaps, raw, organic goat milk is used in place of water in the recipe. Some of the highlighted ingredients include both Kokum and Shea Butters noted for their highly conditioning properties as well as their high stearic content. Sweet Almond and Avocado Oils are added at the end and are left mostly unaffected by the potassium and sodium hydroxide so as to impart all their skin loving goodness. Another stand out ingredient is Lanolin, a first for me and this really contributes to the hydrating properties of this soap and adds a physical slickness to the lather itself. One last additive I'd like to mention is Tussah Silk and this helps to achieve this soaps superior glide and slickness.

The Select is available now from my website and comes in a Sandalwood and a Lavender version. I have a "Citrus" curing on the rack, this will be the next scent released and will be ready in two weeks from today. More scents are on the way and of course I will announce them here.

They cost $25 each for 6.5 ounces. The Select line will only be available in the tins, no loose pucks will be offered. I will be putting up a "Sample" offering in about a week. But like I said, these soaps are available for purchase now.

As always, I thank you for your supprt which allows me to continue to grow as a soap maker and produce these products I am extremely proud of!

Too early to share some initial impressions Ravi?

EDIT: Just saw your thread here, I'm sure you'll add to it soon.

New Select fragrance ready on Wednesday 8/6!

Citrus - An all essential oil blend of sweet orange, grapefruit, 10 fold orange, lemongrass and litsea cubeba. Predominately sweet orange but tempered with the tart dryness of grapefruit and a light lemon blossom finish. Really clean, fresh scent that's a great to start your day!

Coming up and ready on Friday 8/8 is a wonderful Almond. For lovers of almond scented soaps this one is a incredible fragrance! More info and a descriptor on it's release.

Next up is a wonderful Fougere and a Vetiver. These are on the curing rack now and will be ready in about 10-12 days. Both amazing and I am really excited for these! These two scents will also be available in the Classic and Original line.

Now for a little shave soap photo...

Select in Almond and Classic in Fougere and Vetiver in the curing room waiting to be cut into pucks.

Larry,
Well done.
Do you think I should order again?

Do you have any newsletter to inform us when the soaps will be released?

BTW, in the Selected tins there's no identification about the scent in the outside. Was it on purpose?

Hi Rui -

I'll send you a message with the anticipated release dates of all the upcoming scents and that might help you to decide when to order again.

I don't have a newsletter but that's a great idea!

The SELECT labels were designed that way on purpose, there is an identification of the scent inside the tin.
