This morning I realized I hadn't used a TTO in a couple of months. Loaded my Cadet TTO-17 with an AsSPlat and will shave in a few minutes.

How many of you reading this keep at least one TTO in your rotation? I have a Feather Popular, a Weishi, my Cadet, an Ideal adjustable, and a 50 year-old Super Speed.

I wonder if two- and three-piece models are much more used/preferred by wet shavers?

I have a Red Tip and admit the way it loads is so much cooler than a 3-piece. I do prefer how much easier it is to clean a 3-piece razor though.

The three-piece axes are much easier to thoroughly clean. Cool

A Cadet TTO-11 Open Comb, a Cadet TTO-13, a vintage Gillette '58 TV Special, and a Parker 22R. Used to have a Feather Popular, but since it's a good beginners razor I PIFed it away to my father in law.

I find that TTOs are easy enough to clean if you don't let them get full of leftover lather... Wink

I have gotten rid of almost all my TTO razors (in fact, most of my razors in total), but I have kept my Gillette Slim Adjustable. It's very smooth and forgiving, and for me it just has sentimental value as one of the very first razors I bought.

I have a Feather Popular but that's it. I don't like TTO razors. I don't like any DE razor that lets the tabs on the end of the blades stick out. I've gotten worse cuts from razor tabs than I ever got from a blade.

I started with TTOs, but today all of my DE razors are 3 piece. They are Ferraris compared to a van in handling.

I do use the original TTO, the GEM OCMM (SE) and it gives up nothing to other SE razors.

I have lots of TTO, 3-piece and 2-piece razors in rotation. I don't judge a razor by anything other than its performance and several TTOs give me a BBS shave every time I grab 'em. The Cadet open comb in particular feels kinda flimsy and isn't much to look at, but what a smooth shaver!

Still love mine. Used my RazoRock TTO this morning. Also have a SS and a slim adjustable. I use a different razor each week so that nothing just sits and I can justify keeping it lol. I also have three 3 piece razors a gem and a shavette.

I have kept a Mergress in rotation with an ATT razor and a couple of slants. It can really hold it's own with these other razors!

I use, and enjoy, both. It just depends on what I'm in the mood to shave with on any particular day. Smile

All of my razors are TTOs. Five vintage Gillettes and one Schick Krona. I gave up on the three piece razors quite a while ago in favor of these.

"They are Ferraris compared to a van in handling." I'll have to humbly disagree with this.Wink My '58 Cavalcade of Sports TV razor is pretty nimble and good handling in the corners and curves!!!!.

I have 2 TTOs in the rotation....Parker 99R, which is a beast of a razor, and a Timor TTO in polished chrome, for those days when I require a milder shave. Both are great razors.

I have a lot of old Gillette TTOs, but I came to the conclusion early on that I preferred three-piece razors - originally the Gillette Tech - for their balance, low profile, and ease of cleaning.

Unlike Johnny, I prefer a razor with the blade-ends sticking out. Tongue

Not very often, no. I've held-on to a '41 Ranger, a '40s Rocket HD500 and recently I picked up a '56 Red Tip; but others I've had over the years have gone on to their own great reward somewhere else. I don't even use the 3 I've got very often. They all shave really well for me, but I think I prefer the lower profile of a 3-piece and I guess I just don't reach for the TTOs all that often. Guess I'll have to remedy that sometime soon! Wink

I like all my TTO's...which are all vintage. They still have their place in my rotation.

Any juicy rarities among them?
