Does anyone have both, what are the sizes and do you think there's a significant difference?

I have been trying to figure out how to explain the difference. They are both excellent brushes but they are two different experiences. The 49mm is basically a tips only brush. Yes, you can push past it but I don't think it gains anything for doing that. Used the way Simpson recommends it is a quick lathering, scrubby (scrubby here is a compliment) brush. The 52mm is easy to splay and can be used like other big synthetic brushes. They are both enjoyable to use. I am glad I have both types. I guess I am just a fan of the chubby style.
