Hi everyone, I'm Ivan, I am fairly new to wet shaving and all I can say is THANK GOD I STARTED!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dreaded shaving ever since I started a looong time ago. I've tried it all 2 blades,3,4,5 blades and they all left my face beyond irritated. I started watching some videos on YOUTUBE from Geofatboy from ShaveNation on how to wet shave, which were extremely helpful, so gave it a try. My first two shaves were o.k., only a couple of nicks, I really didn't have great tools to use though. Now I can say I get a BBS every time! I just purchased an Edwin Jagger DE8911, I use PRORASO in the tube which whips up an excellent lather and right now i'm using a boar brush which is the first one i purchased, it's o.k. but soon i'll be investing in a nice badger, maybe i'll drop some hints for father's day lol.
Any suggestions on brushes, creams, aftershaves, or balms would be greatly appriciated!
Cheers,
Ivan

Hi Ivan!

I'm new to the site too, but I've been DE shaving for a couple of years. It sounds like you learned good technique much faster than I did. Have fun!

By the way, I live in Michigan too, and I'm studying Croatian now. All my favorite shaving creams are from over there, too--whenever my supply of Palmolive runs low, I start to panic!!! Their shave stick and shave cream are fantastic.

You are studying Croatian, thats awesome! Where are you getting instruction? I didn't know there were creams made over there, let me know which ones so I can look into them. Thanks for the post!

Welcome to the Shave Nook, Ivan!
Don't give up on the boar brushes. If you want a fantastic brush, the Semogue 830 boar brush is fantastic and compares to some of the higher-end badgers! Good luck.
