UPDATE: Dave (waveflow) has set up a league for us.

I just created a league on Yahoo (all basic Yahoo settings). We need numbers or it won't fly!

TSN Fantasy Football

Please sign up TODAY! .... It's FREE!!!

https://yho.com/nfl?l=1370301&k=0931ecd4d56e7ba4

Draft Time:

Date: Wednesday September 3, 2014
Time: 7:00 pm PST (West Coast)
... Let me know if this can't work.

The winner will be awarded a TSN Fantasy Football Champion coffee mug that can be used for shaving! I will design and purchase, donations accepted but not necessary.

I enjoy Fantasy Football and I'm in a couple leagues. We've done one here in the Nook before and I think it was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I will not have the time to run the league as commissioner this year so we would need someone to step up to that position if this is going to happen.

I would like to see no less than 10 teams but more is possible and if there is that much interest then we can always get a 2nd league going. Please answer in the poll and post here (the poll is simply to make it easier to see if we have enough interest) as well that you are interested. If this is going to happen then we'll be in touch via PM and/or email.

Thanks!

I'd love to play, but unfortunately would not be able to commish.

I've only played once and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Have you considered playing salary cap, then the number of teams is unlimited and there is no commissioner. ESPN Gridiron Game.

Brian,

I have done FF in the past and enjoyed it, but draft night was always at a friend's house. I'd need to know just a bit more before committing (like how much $$??), but I am interested.

Doug,
I don't pay to play FF. I typically play for free on Yahoo! or ESPN. We would do a live draft online which would be great if all could be present for, but auto draft is also a viable option for those that can't be present during the draft.

I don't have a problem creating another league as long as we have enough people to bother with it.

yahoo seems to have the best fantasy set up, imho.

Without paying ..... what's the "win"?

I've never had to be paid out on anything to still want to win.

I'll happily give the winner a fantasy million dollar bill if that helps you get competitive. Winky

Here's last year's championship ring. It's better than playing for money when it's with friends.

Much as I love fantasy football, I just don't have the time this year. Sad

Good luck to all who participate!

I have co-chaired a Yahoo league in the past and would be happy to help in that capacity. With my travel schedule this fall I don't think I could chair by myself.

I can't wait for football!!!

With only 5 people showing interest and the season starting soon I don't think this is going to happen this year. Maybe next year we can get this going again.

Understood, but we would just need 10, so 5 more can't be too hard to find :big grin:

Would it be possible to have a countdown until tomorrow night? With a proposed draft (online Yahoo) Tuesday or Wednesday?

I'm just frustrated that my league from school stopped this year haha

It is possible (perhaps not advisable?) to auto draft on Yahoo. If you don't make a pick then the site can choose the highest ranked available player.

Basically, it runs as a snake draft with picks 1-10 then back down 10,9,8 ... 1,1,2 etc and repeats.

It repeats for a set number of rounds and you pick a team (QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, FLEX (any WR, RB, TE), kicker, team defense and bench players.

I believe that there are mock drafts available on Yahoo (and ESPN) if you want to practice / see how it works.

Yes, if you can't be present for the draft then you will be auto drafted according to the yahoo rankings. Your starting spots will be filled first by best available and then your benj slots will be filled. Many great teams come from auto draft.

I'm still in and would hope for a later night draft on either Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll make whatever work as best I can though.

I'm in next year and I'll set up a prize for the 2015 season. I can't make it to the draft time tomorrow. I'm in Hawaii so it will start when I'm still at work.
