On Sunday I went and got a burlap sack full of some New Mexico green it's the season
So yesterday I roasted on my weber now it's frozen and ready to use. I love the smell. This is a family tradition as my Dad was a proud New Mexican. He could make a fine pot o green or red.although my Grandma made the flour tortillas.

Yes it's fresh and this is a single season crop it's picked green but if it stays on the vine it goes red then the red is dried. The green chili is used for stews rellenos salsas or whatever you can imagine.
