I know I shouldn't be getting any more razors, but I am. I haven't seen any reviews of the Timor safety razors. Not the ones with the butterfly head, but these.

Pretty nice eh?

The closed comb head looks similar to the EJ, but it's not and the open comb, well I'm not sure what that compares to. I actually just ordered them so we'll see. It was just over $200 for both so that's not too bad. The only reason I got them was because of the head design and the handles aren't to shabby either.

I have one with the long thin metal handle(bought it from FENDRIHAN in Canada) and the head design is nicely made...plated as good as any razor I have ever seen and is a bit more aggressive than the Merkur with the standard head...try an Astra blade first before you use the TIMOR blades that come with it....it is a great shaver and extremely well made!!!

Cool thanks. That's where I ordered it from. You know I've never used Astras. I have used Timor blades before and I experienced a lot of skipping. It could have just been me though. What's up with Germany and razor blades? You figure they would be some of the best in the world. I do like Bolzanos but Cromas, Merkurs, TImors and Elios blades didn't work out. Wilkinsons are actually pretty good in the Futur and Vision razors but I those razors broke on me. Never getting an adjustable razor again.

Isn't it. And it's an open comb.

Good looking razors. Let us know what you think after you have a chance to try them out.

I will. It's going to 5 to 7 days, though. The gap and exposure look perfect. Plus it looks nice, especially the open comb one. I've gotta good feeling about it.

In this thread the Timor 1350 is discussed as well.
I have the 1350 for about a month and I can confirm it's a mighty fine razor ... Biggrin

My son presented this to me for Fathers Day. Really nice razor, not very aggressive. Real nice balance and nice shave with Feather or Astra SP.
