Yes the SE, the blades are just too unique and
not readily available.

Been asked many many times for this design and actually did consider
a GEM type head modified to accept a DE Blade with only one side exposed.

If I was to be honest (and why wouldn't I be) a two-piece with a Barbasol floating head type design would be my ideal. I would love to see an SK9/H20 style too because I really loved that industrial/modern combo.

I don't know about the razor, but please make a thick, steel, definitive double edge blade that can be sharpened (with a companion stainless tool to sharpen it on the stone).

Be definitive, get the iKonade. Biggrin

If the SE ever does happen could it also be done in a slant?

Realistically, I'd like a razor where the blade is bent at a sharper angle so the handle can be held more parallel to the face.

What about an adjustable slant? Lightbulb

I would either recreate the Barbasol floating head or open comb Fasan slant, these are/were my two favorite aggressive razors that actually behaved themselves during the shave.

Great ideas here and awesome that Greg is reaching out to the community for input. This speaks volumes in IMHO . I vote for SE design. In the fashion of a cobra or a GEM. Something never done by iKon.

Something like a Merkur progress head would be good.

I would like to see the spindle razor that was re-created years ago by Greg only this time in aluminum to keep the cost down.

If you ever do this, please consider the feather blades a modern autostrop style razor would be awesome (maybe as an LE).

As for the 103 I second the floating head style.

Wow! That would probably be challenging to engineer.

You already know I'd like to see you make an SE style razor that could take Kai Mild blades. If that's out of the question I'd like to see a closed comb. I've only used a two part head a few times and it was okay, my preference would be for a single part head.

Adjustable razors; are superfluous.

We've used them and never in mid shave found it necessary to spin the wheel.

SE Razors are cool and seem to have a dedicated following given the limited selection of current produced offerings but that limitation extends to the razor blade selection and that keeps us from engaging this design.

Because you allready make most of the best razors on the planet why not try making them in different materials or special edition variations....Oh yah...you allready do that....just keep up the good work and we will continue to buy them....thanks for your ingenuity and dedication to perfection.Smile

I think a stainless copy of the 2013 R41 head would rock. There are a few razors that do as much shaving in one pass (I'm avoiding the word agressive), but they just don't feel as good to me. Of course, patent problems may kill this dream of mine before it starts. Biggrin
Either way, I hope you find the beginnings of a #103 in this thread.
Tim

I would vote for the open comb Fasan slant as well. Kudos for reaching out to the group!

I really liked Ravi's idea, because being able to use the feather pro blades is the way to go, but I understand the business side of it...so thats out.

The 102 is already going to be a slant type design, so I wouldn't suggest doing another slant. Especially not back to back.

I toss my vote in for the floating head design or one that could provide results similar to the R41. Its something new, and will get the attention of those loyal followers.

Keep up the great work, and good on you for really listening to the shave community for honest feedback.
