Okay I have your attention as the R41 is extremely popular but only with the few that can tolerate the head. Good news might be on the way. I am sorry if I am vague but due to forum rules and privacy I can't identify the member here but he has posted on another forum as a hobbyist indicating he is working on improving the head of the 2013' R41 and also the 2011' R41. He was looking for feedback as to which materials he should use that would make eventual purchasing of this head(s) reasonably priced. It seems to me he is concentrating only on the head and not a handle which is easy enough to obtain.

My own take on the Muhle 2013 R41 is a great improvement over the 2011 R41.
However I had this fitted with the Muhle "Grande" handle and did not find this very comfortable at all, having tried various handle shapes & weights........

I settled on the latest one from ikon called: "Special Edition Handle" having a length of 100mm and a weight of 90g, this really does enhance this now great OC. A pleasure to use.

Go the largest shaving forum under Hobbyist and you will find the thread.

I bought both of the beta caps and am looking forward to being a guinea pig in this DE shaving experiment. I'm new to this forum, so I hope this is the right place to discuss this exciting DE innovation.
