This razor racked up some frequent flyer miles hitting other benches until it landed on mine. You can see why others passed. What someone was trying to do with a coarse stone is beyond me.
And as if hitting one side and seeing the results wasn't enough they turned their attention to the other side. And what , for Heavens sake was accomplished by this?
I don't have a clue.
So I did what I could considering the scratches were as deep as the etch and the word "The" was nearly gone.
Fortunately I have a bag of tricks I was able to dig into and pull a rabbit out of my butt.
It looks pretty decent now.
As to scales. I duplicated a traditional set of W&B's ,, added stacked washers ( that pin isn't silver , it's brass) and a white wedge.
Now it can go back into rotation and look respectable.

Although I'm a physician, I have never seen a rabbit coming out of someone's butt, and I'm not sure that I want to. However, you sure did a miraculous job on this great old razor.

Hehe,,
Well on some forums they call me the magician . So it's easy for me to pull a rabbit out of my hat.
So you can just imagine what it took to pull this one out!
Thank you.

Unbelievable work. The rabbit must be very experienced (but not on vacation spots).

Magicians are known to fool people, they show you one thing and have another identical looking in there sleeve. So my guess is there are two razors involved ;-)

No seriously, it borders on unbelievable, you're the man!

Regardless who you send it to just find one nicer than this. That shouldn't be too hard!

I have been searching for some time now for an adequately priced and 1"+ blade... hopefully in better condition than that one, but most likely will still need some work. Wink

Yeah , it had me scratching my head.
Maybe it was a case of " I have a Dremel so I can restore this blade" and then an OOPS!
I don't know.
But why both sides?
