Hi All,

I've been lurking for a while and have finally decided to introduce myself.

My journey into traditional wet shaving was helped along by the confluence of three events. First, the heavily discounted stock of Schick Tracers I had ran out, and the price of new cartridges gave me a mini heart attack. Second, my Norelco electric needed new heads and they cost nearly as much as the razor did. Third, my wife started making soap (Hence my user name).

I hit eBay for a vintage Gillette and box of Lab Blues, Target for a Shea Moisture Badger brush, and my wife's soap shelf for her initial try at a shaving soap.

Over a couple years, my collection of tools has expanded a bit, my technique has improved, and I am enjoying better skin than I've had in quite a while, thanks in large part to online communities like this one where I've learned a lot. I'll probably do more learning than teaching here, but hopefully I'll be able to make a positive contribution now and again.

See you all around.

Brian

I think they're great, but I may be slightly biased. Blush

Reviews have been good. She's a former lab rat and science teacher, so she's taken to it pretty well. It is chemistry after all.
