I'm compiling an order that should take care of my soap needs for 2015 but I also miss using cream and thought I'd add two that I've not tried yet. One is Lea Classic for sensitive skin while the other is Speick.

I'm not overly particular about scent but I wanted to ask how Speick compares in cushion, glide and post shave feel to similar creams from Proraso? I've used the Bigelow menthol cream once. Good glide and slickness but a little dry on the post. The only other creams I've used are Acca Kappa white musk, Body Shop Maca Root, L'Occitane Cade and Taconic Tequila Lime.

I've read several reviews of Speick but none that compare them to a cream that is familiar to me.

Thanks TSN!

Speick shaving cream is awesome! I'm primarily a soap guy, but Speick is something that I always have on hand. As a matter of fact, used it just today. I prefer it over Proraso because Speick has a better post shave feel to me - it doesn't dry my face out like Proraso. Plus, it's got great protection and is plenty slick. I'll finish off the shave with Speick after shave, one of the best out there, IMHO........BTW, want an incredible shave? Load your brush with MWF and then bowl lather with Speick - ultra protection - great shave! FWIW.

You mean someone else makes a cream besides Speick. Wink

It is the only cream I use and the only soap/cream that I have multiplies of for backup.

Speick is preferable to red, blue and white Proraso creams imho.
Speick leaves a better feeling on my skin in comparison to Proraso and has only natural ingredients, which is not a bad thing.
Btw, it is dirt cheap here in Germany.

I would rate Speick just below my favorites: St James of London cedarwood & clarisage, Terre d'Hermès and DRH creams.

That's my shave only I add a cap full of liquid glycerin to the mix

Speick shaving cream is excellent. While I do like Proraso white, Speick is in a different league in terms of glide, cushion and post shave skin care. I also highly recommend the aftershave lotion. Simply fantastic stuff!!

Thanks for the feedback.

I noticed that it comes in 70 (or is it 75) gram tubes. On the average, for the guys who use it daily, are you able to go 2 months with a tube? Or is it closer to 5 weeks? Just trying to estimate quantities. I'm looking to do just one order to last a year so that bit of info will be most helpful, YMMV considered. :-)

3 weeks to 1 month to finish a tube.

I'm primarily a soap user but I do have more than a few creams and the only repeats for me are Speick and LaToja.

Speick is a very good shaving cream, I would say its even better then Proraso and it has an nice Lavendel kinda scent. I would say a 75G tube can be finished within two months, but it just depends on how much you use Wink .

Well, I'll go out on a limb and say that I don't care for the scent of Spieck.

To me, it reminds me of the noxious and medicinal odor of noxema cream.

The cream does perform well, though... I just can't get over the memories of my granny smearing it on my upper lip as a child when I had a cold.

Yes, the scent reminds me of Noxzema cream also and their old shave cream too. Fortunately I like the scent. Agreed too, the Speick performs well.

I use Spieck after shave balm and the splash. I think they are excellent products, but I was disappointed in the shave cream. It's not bad, rather I find it just adequate. Proraso provides me with more cushion and slickness. As always YMMV. Good luck and good shaving.

I first discovered Speick in Germany. Their line is extensive. We only get a few of their products here.
