Just scales on this one. I had a beautiful slab of horn that had such an interesting pattern to it. Faded from translucent to black. That, with a bit of fussing became the scales for this piece.
Natural materials offer scales that are ( besides straight black) that are unique to each razor.
I was able to keep the fade pretty consistent from side to side and had the translucent end at the hinge.This allows the stamp to just peek through. And as you can see I duplicated the shape of the original scales with the radius edge.
The black wedge end is separated with a white wedge.

Those are great looking horn scales...like the OP mentions, very cool natural fade from blonde to black...J'aime "le Grelot" rasoir le avec de la corne decoloration! I'd love to own a TI one dayAngel
