Thinking Of Running A Small Number Batch of Cerakote iKon's

Midnight Matte Black; Judging Interest - Can do the handles all black to match

Cerakote coatings have been tested in salt spray and full emersion and have withstood beyond 3,000 hours in salt spray and hundreds of hours in full emersion testing. These results outperform other finishes by over 10x. This makes Cerakote ceramic coatings the clear choice for marine environments and other environments subject to high humidity.

I like the idea, would it be offered in the OC or just the Standard for now, and would we have the chance to buy handles separately?

It is a very expensive process to undertake, so handles and heads will be sold as sets - but this is all to be determined.

Not so interested in a current model. I could have one of my current iKons coated myself. How about a limited number of one of the older models like an S3S, though it seems a shame to cover up such a "pretty" razor. I'd like the handle coated to match.
I'd really love an option to preorder or prepay.

Shucks, would really rather just buy the handle since I've already bought the slant. Can you please reconsider selling the handle alone?

Sounds interesting! I'd love to get an ikon back into rotation. Dependent on price I'd be interested.

Good question.

This is a quote from our web store:

"why DLC ?
Most stainless steel razors (especially machined and unpolished razors) have a tendency to develop what we in the industry call ‘tea stains’
this is an unfortunate reaction between the low grade steel used in the DE blades and the actual stainless steel used in the razors fabrication.
So leaving a blade in a stainless steel razor results in what looks like rust.
Our DLC coated stainless steel heads prevent this.
iKon’s Stainless Steel DLC Coated Heads also add glide and efficiency to your
shaving experience."

As we are at the tail end of our current DLC production run, we'd like to try another option and stay at the forefront of the DE Razors on the market with our medical grade precision and innovations.

YES but why not use actual diamond coating...you do want the razor to last a 1000 years don,t you?...we all have so many razors that they will NEVER WEAR out....however I do shave under water when I scuba dive so maybe this something I need badly...I just don,t like my razors to get wet so I use plastic wrap...no wonder my shaves are so rough....TongueBiggrinHuh
