As I entered the house tonight after walking the dogs my wife called to me from the laundry room.

I had left my Sailor Reglus in a shirt breast pocket. It went through the washer and the dryerSad

The shirt is a loss. Funny you would think burgundy stripes would go with greenBiggrin

But the pen was fine. I wrote this while the pen was still warm to the touch.

Diamine Delamere green.

ML said the pen was in the pocket when she pulled the shirt from the dryer. This prevented any scratches or worse to the pen.

I disassembled it and gave it a thorough cleaning. There was ink in the cap and barrel. Other than that it appears to be fine.

A testament to Sailor quality.

I will let it dry overnight, reassemble and ink it tomorrow. But I am not expecting any issues.

Even better - the ink was only on this one shirt. Everything else in that load of laundry was fine. Especially ML's stuff. Whew, that was close.

That was a nice shirt. Sad

It could have been much worse. All in all, I would say you were very lucky. [Image: 18.gif]
