Gents,
I am going to place an order for jobannan wet earth priced $35.Also ran into cold water works select (veviter ) prices at $25.

Which is your favorite ? Scent is important to me . I am confidant that both are good performer.

Thanks

Jabonman, not Jobanman. Wink

If I'm not mistaken, the shipping cost for 1 or 2 Jabonman soaps is the same, so you might as well take the opportunity to try another one, and bring the unitary cost down a bit.

I think wet earth is a terrific scent, but it is polarizing, as it seems people either love it hate it. I doubt that Select Vetiver has been out long enough for many to have tried it, let alone compared the two. I agree with David that you should always order two JabonMan soaps at a time.

I own and use both CRSW and Jabonman.

I can't comment on the new CRSW vetiver specifically, but I do have Select Lavender.

Between the two, I find CRSW to be slightly more protective and moisturizing than Jabonman.

That said, both a re top notch and I don't think you can be disappointed with either.

You can spice it up a bit more and order JabonMan Vetiver-Citricos.

You could not pick two more different Vetiver scents ! The Wet Earth is a deep moist earthy vetiver. The Select is really a light dry Vetiver that is neither earthy nor green. It is blended into a powdery background with a light wafting floral note that is floating over everything and you only catch faint whiffs of it.

They are both absolutely top of the line in their own respects, you will not go wrong with either. But they have no similarities scent wise.

I quite like TF Grey Vetiver. Please let me know how you find the BM. I also ordered CRSW vetiver so I can compare it directly to Wet Earth, which I already have.

It might be worth putting on your radar: Mike's Vetiver is a very nice soap, too.

Indeed. It's now on the list.

Hope you enjoy both of them. They're great and complete opposites. If you're looking for vetiver I'd recommend Beer Soap Brewing Company BVV (Bergamot Violet Vetiver) and Brass Monkey.

A tin of CRSW vetiver arrived today. I'm looking forward to trying it tomorror. The BVV has too much beer scent for my nose.

I think this thread started out asking for a comparison of Jabonman Wet Earth and CRSW vetiver.

I have both. To my nose Wet Earth gets preference for its "pure" scent. I like vetivers that are deep, smokey, well-grounded. The Jabonman is that.

CRSW is an excellent soap. It lathers wonderfully. The scent, however, is not as desirable to me.

As always, YMMV.
