Being such a movie buff and audiophile, I was searching through the site and I haven't seen any FOTD like we have on shaving - SOTD. Just thought that it would be kinda cool to incorporate something for everyone who really enjoys a great film.

I don't have cable tv, sense/since I'm only into a few different shows, and paying all that dough for things I don't use is of no concern to my wife and I. So, we watch a lot of movies

Day: The American (George Clooney)

Night: I'm thinking of Goldfinger (James Bond - Sean Connery)

Winter Soldier was an excellent movie. The best by Marvel, but right behind the Dark Knight Trilogy.

I can recommend these as great entertainment:

Pirate Radio also goes under the name The Boat That Rocked. Watchmen's opening title sequence is one of the best I've ever seen.

Oh, I love the Watchmen! Excellent film.

I'll have to check out the other; I do truly love Philip Hoffman (r.i.p)

He was great in the Pirate movie, and great in Charlie Wilson's War.

Great idea for a thread. I restarted my netflix over the weekend after reading this (and the car chase thread)

Thanks!

1. An English comedy with American actors. Hilarious in spots. I saw this taped as a stage show first, and that led me to the film.
2. Not an Eric Roberts fan, but it has the incredible Greta Scacchi. Otherwise a very weird movie.
3. Delightful (which is a word I never use). Crowe is sufferable, and Marion Cotillard is . . . ah, heck . . . delightful.
4. Good chemistry between Downey and Kilmer; plenty of action and plot.

Bryan, you mentioned being an audiophile. I suffered the same affliction. Here's some of the gear I once had. Wish I still did so I could play all those movies through it.

That McIntosh is a wonderful, wonderful component! Love it Ron!
I'll have to watch Kiss Kiss again, it was good -- and anything with Russell, to me, is worth checking out. Marion is good too.

Dave, you're welcome; and hopefully, more guys on the forum will join in on the posts! I love movies, can't stand television except past shows and truly love music. I can't get into a lot of modern entertainment though, but there is some stuff that I enjoy very much.

Lately it's been westerns for me. Here's a few that I watched over the weekend:

Aaron, I've with ya brotha! I love my Westerns. I usually watch them in the early morning before my daughter wakes up, but I'm waiting for a couple of old/new ones to show up.

The Island was very good, by surprise.
