Bernd also has a blurb about the new hair on his Facebook page.

Great looking brushes. I guess this 2-band probably feels a little softer than the D01 2-band.

Interesting... I wonder how similar it could be to Thater's 2-band bulb?
I'm looking forward to seeing some reviews, gents.

I'm wondering the same. Reviews from the Continent shouldn't take long to filter in.

This is seriously tempting...I would really like to check one out! Looks similar to the bulb knot in my M&F 2XL 2Band brush Angel

Keep an eye on the "Experts Select" section for when the knot becomes available for customizing -- assuming it's (k)not already.

Thanks for this find! I have contacted Bernd to see if a Hybrid or Fan knot is available for the blue handled one.

If the initial offering were a fan shape I would be $200 poorer, luckily I can resist bulbs and wait for reviews first.

Someone on Badger & Blade already has a custom fan shaped knot and non-standard handle.

I assume, like all other Shavemac's, the listed brushes are basically samples, and you can order any custom brush you wish with the new hair simply by requesting it from Bernd.

I personally am more surprised by the initial high price of the new hair, but maybe it's worth it, or at least the expected demand very high and/or supply limited.

I would like to acknowledge that Steve was the one who first called attention to this new Shavemac offering, and apologize for stealing his beat on the subject.

Since all I did was note Shavemac's own Facebook posting, have no vested interest in the company, failed to notice that someone on B&B had already received a prototype brush with the new hair, and the information is certainly of general interest, you acknowledgment is much appreciated, but unnecessary. I plan on doing a full review on this new hair type within the next few days. I will say that the new two band silvertip is fantastic! The blend of backbone, flow thru and soft tips is perfect. Not quite as dense as the DO1 but still more than adequate backbone with really soft tips.

***NOTE: My full write up is now posted in the brush review section. ***
