Happy Birthday! Its very special when you can enjoy the product of your own efforts. Great job lathing out the handle, knots gotta be killer once it breaks in.

Is that an o-ring you put at the base of the knot?

No, it's the ring/cap that comes on the bottom of the knot from Omega.

I do a lot of woodworking from furniture to carving.... But this past winter I bought a Jet mini lathe for fun.... I've been playing, making small bowls, turkey calls, wine stoppers and now a brush handle. I'll be making more...
