Hello,

I just got done rescaling a gun metal straight razor for a member. He can chime in if wants to.

These are bone scales with brass lined horn wedge assembled with brass pins and domed washers.

I was going use just the 1/8 inch horn wedge but this razor's tang is nuts on 1/4 inch and it was just too tight a fit. The brass liners are only 1/32 each.

I think it worked out well.

Nicely done. I really like bone scales, I think they have a lot more character and depth than people give them credit for (if done correctly).

Hello,

Thank you. After seeing how well the blade looks, I want to see about trying to make a blade with this kind of coating.

The rescale is beautiful! I particularly like the bone scales contrast with the brass and horn.

Hello Richard,

Big fan of bone and it works well with the brass.

Loving the gun metal finish. I have a Brian Brown coming that was acid dipped for that dark color.

Nice work

Hello,

I want to say it was 1/32 over 7/8 last time I measured it. The spine is 1/4 material.
