Hey Guys,

Not sure if this is the right place, but I wanted to get a new pair of sunglasses, I like the look of the Rayban New Wayfarers but the price is beyond my budget.

I've seen a drastic price difference between the Sunglass Hut and Amazon. My worry is that the items on Amazon aren't genuine. Does anyone have any experience with purchasing Rayban sunglasses on Amazon?

How do you know if the sizing is right when you buy from Amazon?

I have no experience with Amazon. I would imagine that they are real. You could also check out: http://www.ray-ban.com/canada/en/ Or Mass Drop. The prices may vary.
I have however had a pair of Rayban and IMO they were not worth the $. I have owned Oakleys and Maui Jims with great success. The Oakleys could take a beating(non plastic ones) and the longest lasting pair I have ever had was Maui Jims (5.5 years of almost daily use). Unfortunately they are all pricy items and as with most things in life YMMV.

I'm afraid so many of them are knock-offs. I bought a pair for myself and my wife (Wayfarer). Both snapped off at the temple right at the hardware attachment point. I tried to repair them myself but that only bought me a couple of months.

If you are purchasing from a third-party, then caveat emptor. But if the glasses are sold by amazon, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase with confidence.
I will say that it has been my considerable experience that amazon's customer service is first-rate, should you have any issues.

I find that quite difficult to believe. How do you know this?

Do you happen to have eye coverage on your insurance? Maybe you could get a prescription set of Raybans from a Lenscrafters and just get a "0" prescription and your insurance will cover it.

Go look at some of the fragrance reviews. If they can do it with fragrances its natural to assume they "can" do it with other items.

I've bought a couple pairs of wayfarers that were sold by Amazon, not third party. I believe they are legit. Amazon's return policy is very good if they arrive and you aren't satisfied. I prefer the original design to the new one, btw but I like the classics when it comes to fashion. With regard to size, the smaller ones are the iconic shape and size. The 55mm large have a rounder shape.
