No price has been quoted but it's my understanding that the razor will be sold with a new knurled handle and not separately. However, things can change. I hope they stick to the same price as batch 1 which was $149 with domestic shipping. From reading all the reviews on this forum and FB even a higher price is worth it.

I was told in an e-mail that the target price for the head alone is $120ish.

It is my understanding that the price for batch 2 was going to still be $149. I think it was said that the price my need to go up after batch2. The price difference was not going to be large between the head only and the full razor because most of the cost is in the head. It takes a lot longer to make the head than the handle so more labor cost.

The price for the Batch 2 head and handle will be $149 shipped and $119 shipped for the head only. We are still looking at the handle design and will make our decision the week after next.

We're very pleased with both the commitment and quality of the work being done in the Miami shop. Our razors will ONLY be made in America, although as you might imagine, we've already had offers from machine shops in several countries.

Hi Mongoose Razors

In terms of handle design, will one design be offered or will 2, a standard and slim model?

Personal preference for me is a thick, long and heavy handle. Are deliberations leading toward this kind or a slim ?

ThanksSmile

The handle on Batch 2 has been announced/shown, it's a knurled slim handle.

That might change. 2 hours ago they said they are still looking at what handle will be sold with Batch 2.

Personally I'm hoping for a knurled handle, but also a shorter one, if for no other reason then to provide some option from the original handles. 85mm would definitely be the sweet spot. Wink

My preference as well. Knurled and a bit shorter would be perfect.

Well... I spoke too soon, I thought it was decided. I also prefer a heavier handle, so... if they're taking votes, Dub Legend with knurling would be mine. (Rather than slim). And a cool art-deco pattern would be even better. But I'm not greedy.

Matt Glass told me a few weeks ago, the head alone would be $129.
