I've been looking for a chubby 3 manchurian in faux Jade for close to a year now. I can understand why these don't go on BST very often. And I finally got a hold of one this morning off simpsons twitter feed!

The next picture they posted sent me over the edge and I'm now waiting for two chubby 3 manchurians to arrive! [Image: 832777021f6f7ff319ca331618e7e288.jpg][Image: 5fc0ae8aa639ad8ab36ffb84facb4cd0.jpg]

That's some serious badger there, serious congrats on that's a big time trigger pull.

To be honest maybe it's the picture or not but the rod stock on the briar and jade look incredible, it's not the same shade/tone that my non-chubby Jade and Briar has. Really like them a lot!

Pics when u get those two monstrous beauties!

Agreed on the handles. I told mark I wanted that exact brush in briar. The color is mesmerizing. I also like how there is very little brown in the jade.

I hate the new Twitter marketing, but at least it is preventing me from draining my Paypal account.

I also dislike the new Twitter marketing, but I have a CH3 Manchurian in Amber, from the previous batch of hair, and it's a fabulous brush.
Gives me one of my favorite face feels, along with the Rooney Finest and the Plisson Synthetic. All quite different yet very special in their own right.

Twitter is a magnificent tool to do business with although it may not be to everyone's taste.

Pictures of products can be uploaded instantly and availability status.

For one off & limited no. brushes that come up for sale it works superbly as does the introduction of Paypal.

We try and make ourselves as accessible to the shaving community as we can - I doubt there are many other brush manufacturers out there as pro-active on social media as we are (though I stand to be corrected).

We could go underground and play email ping-pong but we'd be chastised for that business model too I'm sure.

I appreciate the feedback, it's good to hear but I've said many, many times ...

You can please some of the people some of the time ... you know the rest WinkSmile

Cheers guys.

Mark

That could very well be true, Mark, but if you managed to do both, you'd be making everyone happy. And how great would that be?

Congratulations on finally finding that CH3 in jade Joe, and the briar CH3 is quite the added bonus! I recently purchased a briar CH3 and an Ivory stripe CH2 both in Manchurian. They are hands down the best brushes I own! I am confident you'll love these beauties.

I have to say (no offense meant David) I believe Mark and the Simpson team already play both the social media game and the email ping-pong rigmarole better than any brush making company that I have dealt with. They are consistent, prompt and accommodating in every respect. There is no better customer service in the brush market, period.

That's music to my ears, Mark. There's a certain brush me and a friend have been pining over and desperately need a brush each, as you may remember. Rolleyes

Absolutely no offense taken (of course), and I'm glad you have been successful with your requests for Simpson's customs brushes, but as has been said by more then a few people (including Mark himself), lately it hasn't been easy to simply order custom brushes - and by custom brushes I simply mean 2-Band or Manchurian hair with a specific handle shape and/or color, I'm not even talking about engraving or anything of the sort.

To me, it really is a shame, as Simpson's customs are definitely among the best out there. Heck, my wedding brush was a Simpson's custom... that's how much I like them. Wink

David, I think I saw a photo of that wedding shaving brush, It is beautiful! I think we ought to band together and make the wedding brush a worldwide custom Wink

I appreciate your perspective David. I guess I am comparing/contrasting Simpson's customer service as compared to another famed English brush maker. The Latter causes me so much grief with numerous unanswered emails and extended delivery times that I have stopped inquiring after his brushes. Mark's prompt replies to emails and requests seems like a breath of fresh air in comparison and is in reality really good customer service.

You are right that it would be spectacular to have a manufacturer such as Simpson be able to accept very customized orders! I'll join with you and continue to hope for that.

Sorry did not intend to derail the thread. Congratulations again Joe! Those are two spectacular brushes, enjoy them!
