oh jeez... that's oozing character and sophistication. Really taken with that brush and we haven't seen the horn yet. I really can't wait to see the rest of what he's using, if they found this material there's nothing ordinary coming out of the Mark's lathes in the coming months!!!!

wondering how stable is the wood long term?

I really like this brush. However, having a wood handle worries me. What about wood splitting, rotting from water damage, and temperature changes causing wood damage? Are these things possible or am I a worry wart?

I'm sure the brush was coated in protectant but I have many things wood protected that have shown damage through the years.

Amaranth is known for its exceptional hardness and durability, amongst wood species.

Beautiful brush !!

My understanding is that the brush will be pricey. The question is how much anyone want a wood handle and willing to pay more. The standard LE CH2 is £249 plus shipping. My guess this will be £290

It does have to have a quality finish on it. There are several quality wooden handles being made that I am sure with some care will last a long time.

Personally, I prefer wooden handles.

So, I looked into this. Apparently amaranth is even use for boat building (among many other things such as hardwood floors)! I can't image we would have issues with water in our expected use haha. Also, finished amaranth is BEAUTIFUL. The finish really brings out the wood's pattern. I wonder if this brush will have a finish on it?
