HTGAM used to be my top brand but both Maggard and LA Shaving Soap have taken over-the-top spot. It's hard to believe that anything could be any better than Synergy soaps but both Maggard and LA Shaving having taken the top spot for me, and my office shave geeks. My remaining HTGAM will be regulated to shower use.

Best,

Kurt

Great news!

I just ordered 2 tubs on a whim and had trouble finding info on the LASSC soap performance.

Synergy 2.0 and lass are both top notch. Lass could have more composed scents.

Have you tried PPF, B&M, Tiki, or Jabonman? There's always another contender to take on the reigning champ.

Yes and honestly its a nice soap but to me what ever version I used performed the same and the scent of the CAD was just ok and not very moisturizing. The marketing around the soap with different versions and limited additions is another thing that turns me off a bit as well. Again these are my opinions from using the soap.

I haven't tried Maggard's, but LASS is outstanding. I can see how its performance would impress.

I recently received a tub of LASS Bespoke #1 with my razor purchase. The performance of this soap is comparable with the best soaps I've tried, including MdC....

Yes, yes I do! I can get just as good shaves without it!

True. Me, too.

But just because you can get a good shave without tallow doesn't mean that tallow is a bad thing.

I like to choose my soaps without regard to whether or not they contain tallow. It's neither a positive nor a negative, provided the soap makes a good lather and provides for a smooth, comfortable shave.

Never said anything negative about tallow. Not sure what you are implying here.
