I recently purchased an Ace Shaving Silvertip Brush - which has turned out to be quite excellent. I have posted my review here.

Brush experts like GD Carrington have long praised Ace knots but there aren't many reviews of brushes entirely made by Ace. I bought it on a lark and have been very impressed with the results. I submit that if low cost manufacturers/retailers like Ace deliver & maintain quality at this level - it is difficult to justify a $200 Kent BK8 (or similar) based on functionality alone.

For Silvertip fans - Ace Brushes are worth a look.
---------
p.s. I have no affiliation with Ace Brushes and paid full price for my brush just as a regular consumer.

Thanks for the review and comments. The importance is always finding what works for you. Recently I've enjoyed synthetics, over my expensive badgers, and at a fraction of the cost.

Its one thing to hear Vinny say it but quite another when a veteran like Teiste says it. Wink

I now feel more confident in my assertion that AceShaving silvertips are a quality product & represent an excellent value for money. Biggrin

I've got one. A Silvertip 29mm.
It's very soft, not floppy at all, with a dense loft and good backbone.
For the price, $30 + $5 shipping, this loft is a deal. Wink
