I noticed this flyer on the signal yesterday for an 'estate sale' just up the street. RIGHT, they all turn out to be garage sales. Lets face it. The generation that had really nice stuff is thinning daily and estate items are more likely Greatfull Dead posters.
But I go, EARLY. And there, in it's very clean, 1969 box- a still sealed 8.3 bottle of Guerlain Imperiale, my first signature scent now priced high enough to encourage other choices.
$10 was the timid price by the lady. My father never liked 'French flower water' she remarked. So I CALMLY hand over $10 and walk home. I figure the bottles sell on EBAY, or try to for much more. They are cool artworks.
shave of the day, uncork my vintage bottle, worry it's flat.

Sorry, I mistook the shave nook for comments after Yahoo news articles. I don't have a digital camera or the inclination to prove something with the weight and heft of an empirical image. Oh, my mistake; it is the 17 oz and all mine.

Enjoy your find. Most of the sales I see start on Thursdays. By the time I can get there, there's usually nothing left but 8-tracks.

Nothing against 8-tracks, but they usually don't contain music I like.
