I picked up a couple of French razors for an idea I had.
This one is stamped Imbert Aine, Monmartre, Paris.
I did the usual clean up on the blade. Since the bottom leg of the letter "P" as well as the bottom of the letter "S" in the word Paris were missing I etched them back in place so it's legible now.
I decided to do something a bit different and carved a set of Ivory scales. Along with this I scrimshawed on the facing scale an image of Sacre Coeur which is the Cathedral on Monmartre in Paris. I love that spot.
On the reverse scale I did the Eiffel Tower. Using black for the scrim I used a black horn wedge as a compliment. The brass pins are just for decoration. The shot with the pencil is for scale as the entire sketch fits under a dime.

Oh yes I do, thanks!
I tried to give it a little elegance and style befitting a French razor.

Great !

By the way, where do you find those intricate scales ? (The two in the middle, in the last pictues) I noticed you also have a black one that is absolute drooling material ! Tongue

I don't find them. I made everything you see out of Ivory. The carving of the Cherry Blossoms the Acanthus leaf scrolls the Barber Pole and this one , as well as doing all the scrimshaw and the bolsters.
I'm not sure which black one you are referring to. If you are thinking about the post "W&B ,,, oh my" I made them as well as all the razors I post .

Ok you're now officially awesome ! As for the "black razor", I was talking about the one in this picture :

Second column from the right, at the very bottom. Other razors from this drawer look awesome, do you have a better-resolution picture ?

I know you made the "Oh my" razor scales yourself, i have very similar ones on my "Sceptre" you restored Biggrin
