I currently use an AS-D2. I now know that razor isn't aggressive enough for me. Any suggestions in stainless steel for what I should switch to?

Probably, the best and most economical option would be the Weber PH. It is a great razor for the price and more aggressive and effective than the AS-D2, in my opinion.

If you want aggressive I suggest the Matador Toro Mastiff. For the price its one of the best IMHO. The blade gap is like a Merkur Progress on setting 5.5. I use it all the time and haven't bought another DE razor. Another suggestion could be a merkur futur if you want an adjustable.

I suggest either a Gillette Tech or NEW LC. Can be found at a good price, and a step up in aggressiveness from your AS-D2. Happy Hunting!

I just bought all 6 Above The Tie base plates. They're all phenomenal. The R1 is more aggressive than the Feather, and that's where I'd recommend you start. The H1 is a lot more aggressive than the Feather; in my view, maybe a bit much for a daily shaver, more for when you've skipped a couple of days. You really couldn't possibly go wrong with an ATT R1. If I were giving anyone a razor as a gift, that's what it would be, hands down.

Thanks for your help everyone. I was on the R1 thought train as well. Now to sell my feather AS-D2...
