I woke up very early, did my morning zen meditation while the coffee brewed. Showered and shaved, splashed a degenerate amount of Guerlain Imperiale on my face and walked over to the local Trader Joe's; arriving @ 8A.M. just as they opened.
Shopping list: Tremontillo wine from Argentina, walnuts, dried apricots, dates ( my mother is starting to assemble ingredients for the holiday FRUITCAKE ) and OH BOY! they have their seasonal pumpkin icecream Tongue which I double up on and top with a dozen eggs and bacon.
There's a new crewmember; tall, lithe pretty with short hair and an iontoxicating grin. damn, I hate getting old sometimesSad
She sees the Tremontillo as another, old friend there laughs at my wierd selection. Within minutes I learn she lived in Buenos Aries for three years and we both love the Tango, but her BF wont learn it.
I walk out with her ( first basket check of the day) just as the LaRouchies show up to set up a table right at the entrance AND the store speaker plays of all possible songs Por Una Cabeza.
I put my backpack down and without a word we start dancing on top of the la Rouchie's 'turf'. The manager and most of the clerks and customers came out to watch. The Larouchies look at each other, us, each other again and leave. Song ends, we do a final dip to applause and she asks what cologne I'm wearing. I tell her and she writes it down. She's going to buy her Bf some and MAKE him learn tango if he loves her.
Manager say's 'sometimes I really love my job.'
I walk home, more confident than the OLD SPICE sailor back in port.
'Stay shaven my friend.'-Imagine me surrounded by younger women without the stupid grey beard.Biggrin

Nice.My wife did the dance class thing a few years ago, however I suffer from delayed beat syndrome -i'm always a half beat behind the song. The same thing ruined any hope of musical instrument playing.A shame really since one of my grandfathers was a florida state fiddle champ and played on the Grand Ole Opry .So much for genetics or maybe the beat gene is a recessive and bypassed my generation.

I went back early this morning. I'm singing in a low voice( helps me keep a marching pace) and the manager is just walking in and asks what the tune is.
I explain it's the song of the French foreign Legion and revolves around eating blood sausages but the Belgians don't get any. He looks incredulous ' I thought it would be about killing bedouins or something?'
We go in and a crewmember is wearing a new necklace with the OHM symbol in sterling. I compliment her and correctly identify it. Manager says " Now don't tell me you study that too?" I smile, ask her 'want to come over and see my Alan Watts signed first edition?' She asks if we have to walk. I reply it can be a soto meditation. She declines, I have to workSad But the other girl I tangoed with wants to practice with me, grill some Asada and drink argentine wineWink

Yes, thanks for the story, I'm just a little late for the party. Regarding the LaRouchie, I read it and still don't know what they are!Tongue
