When I picked up my Plisson brush at the L'Occitane store yesterday, the friendly young woman on duty threw in a few sample packets of their balm (plus some packets of other face creams, etc. for my wife).

The balm is thicker than the light lotions I've been using recently, almost more of a butter. That's not surprising -- it contains shea butter. It absorbs readily, though, and the light fragrance is very pleasant.

It's a nice product for sure, but at its price point I don't know that I'd purchase it for myself. There are two other balms in the line too, Cade and Baux.

Yes, L'Occitane balms are great products, although a bit expensive. Very moisturising.
My favourite is BAUX, it features a great spicy/woody scent.

I've been using L'Occitane balms for a number of years and L'Occitane skin care is quite legendary the Baux and the Cade are wonderful and especially during the colder winter months pack with moisturizing Shea butter.

L'Occitane balms, specially CADE are on my rotation, and I use them quite often. I wish I would use them more, but I don't because I'm afraid of running out of them. Biggrin

I have Cade and Cedar & Orange Balm. I love both, but the latter is my favorite Biggrin

I ordered a Plisson recently and also got the Baux balm because I've always wanted it. I have the Cade shave cream and I really enjoy it, but Baux just smells and moisturizes like nothing else. It's amazing, I highly recommend it

Cade is my winter months balm too! (Maybe a bit too heavy form summer?)

Another plus point to the L'Occitane balms is their scent longevity, superb balms!

I agree with Jamie, L'Occitane are super good, also very very good IMO and a few pounds lower in price is I'coloniali 3 in 1 balm worth a try.

Yup! So creamy and luxurious too. I think I like it more than Cade.

Agree with this. I purchased the Plisson Cade brush, balm & shave soap online 3 months ago. I got an email from them every day. I'm not kidding. Sometimes twice a day. I had to relegate L'Occitane to my "junk" bin.
