My #62 is one of my least favorite boars... It has a horrible glue bump. I keep it only because it's my birth year..

All Semogue brushes have a pronounced glue bump in my experiences. I believe they calculate that into the loft they choose for each model.

Not all of them, but most indeed do, and according to Mr. Gomes, Semogue's owner, these glue bumps are part of the knot construction methodology he generally uses, and allow for the base of the knot to be better sealed off against water and lather, thus preserving it in perfect condition.
