A friend of mine and Jamie Mahoney had this gentleman in the UK make him a set of custom scales for his Feather Artist Club SS. I personally think they turned out quite well and really add to the looks of the razor.

Looks quite nice, Johnny! A mix between the traditional and the modern, so to speak. Congrats!

That certainly looks better than the original scales nicely done by Rob.

If you send me some money my friend, I will get one of these. Biggrin

But since you have your own habit to feed, I will stick with what I have.

Nice! Is the pivot end narrow enough to be comfortable?

Very nice. I am waiting for a SS to come in any day. If it works out I am interested in getting nicer scales put on it. I love the way it looks.

Sr.

Real nice set of scales. I have the non-folding one in the black handle. I'm in love the one that has the wood handle. Basically is not available for the market anymore. Real nice shavers.

Thanks
Ken

In 7+ years of visiting wet shaving forums I think that's the first Feather I've seen with custom scales...

Looks fantastic!

Nah... take a look at some of the old posts in this forum. Brad Maggard did one a few years ago, with the RG/Dx style Feather that was simply outstanding.

There are quite a few custom Feather folders out there.

Very very nice! One of the reasons I didn't love my Artist Club SS was because of the cheap plastic scales. Looks like you took care of that
